Our concept establishes sustainable and carbon neutral supply chains, where-by symbiosis relationships are formed between AD power plants and surrounding farms as illustrated above.

What is Anaerobic Digestion (AD)?

Anaerobic digestion is a biological process where microorganisms break down organic materials, such as agricultural and livestock waste, in the absence of oxygen.
This process produces biogas, mainly methane, which can be used to generate electricity via Combined Heat and Power (CHP) engines.
In addition to electricity, AD produces a valuable by-product: digestate, a nutrient-rich fertilizer that supports sustainable farming practices.

How AD Powers CHP Engines

Biogas produced through AD is used to fuel Combined Heat and Power (CHP) engines.
These engines simultaneously generate electricity and heat, which can be used for various processes, including heating buildings or providing energy to local industries.
The electricity generated is fed into the grid or supplied directly to off-takers, while the heat can be used in agricultural processes, reducing energy costs.
